When I look at you

When I look at you

I see rain, falling down on a maple tree,

Making my pain drown into the endless sea.

I see dark falling leaves, blowing in sultry wind

As if bleak autumn grieves, making my bark skinned.

I see snow, laying down on the sacred wood,

Covering every crown with an enchanting hood.

I see a luminous resin, turning into a golden amber,

Leaking out of blazing, raw wounds to remember.

I see pine, rising over a green misty forest —

An invisible borderline between things weren't promised.

I see an intricate chain, entwining trunk with а symbolic anchor,

A diminutive grain, turning into a venomous rancor.

I see fire, burning bridges to tempestuous soul,

A smouldering cruel desire, dreamings of being heart-whole.

I see fear, freezing heartwood of withering tree,

A radiant spear, an elixir that will set you free.
